What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?
GEO is making a website easy for AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews to find, quote and cite. Where SEO aims for a place in search results, GEO aims for a citation in the answer itself.
How is Citeplume different from other GEO tools?
Most AI-visibility tools count how often answer engines mention you. Citeplume also shows why pages are cited (the passage each answer drew on), turns every finding into a fix it can make in your code or CMS, checks what answers claim about your brand, and shows the exact token estimate before any AI run.
How is the GEO score calculated?
Each page is scored by GEO checks such as a direct answer, sources for its figures, structured data and text that's in the HTML without JavaScript. The site's score averages its pages, lowered by site-wide findings such as blocked AI crawlers. It runs from 0 to 100; 80 and above is good.
What does it cost?
Analyzing a site and checking pages is free on every plan. Features that use an AI model, such as AI visibility checks, plans and pull requests, draw on your plan's monthly AI tokens. Past them, tokens cost your plan's rate per million (Growth $45, Pro $30), up to its monthly cap, and each run shows its exact estimate first.
Which AI answer engines does it check?
AI visibility checks ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, as your server allows. The GEO checks also cover what Google AI Overviews, Apple Intelligence and Siri, and Microsoft Copilot need to read your site.
Will it change my website without asking?
No. Pull requests are never merged for you, and CMS patches are previewed, applied only when you confirm, and can be undone.
How do I get an account?
Continue with Google on the sign-in page: your account starts on the free plan, and you can choose a paid plan any time under Billing. Your administrator can also create an account for you.
